Alleman’s Compact Dogwood (Cornus sericea ‘Alleman’s Compact’)

Like Red-twig dogwood, but with a deeper wine-red stem color and a more compact form. Four season interest with blossoms in May, pleasant green foliage in summer, giving way to white berries in fall, and finally the oustanding red stem color in winter. Excellent for mass plantings and an effective bank cover. Good plant for wildlife.
