Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica)

Black Gum is easily grown in medium to wet soils and can tolerate poorly drained soils and standing water. Great for flooded or boggy sites. Greenish-white flowers appear in spring and fruit matures to a dark blue in the fall. The fruit attracts birds and wildlife. Full sun to part shade.
