American Yellowwood (Cladrastis kentukea)
$45.00
This large, American-native is spectacular in spring, with creamy white flower panicles that are 8-14″ long and loaded with fragrant pea-like flowers. Following the flowers, 4″ light brown seed pods form in autumn. As the tree matures, the bark turns gray similar to a beech. A beautiful specimen tree that grows especially well in high pH soils yet is also tolerant of acid soils. *2010 GreatPlants Winner
