Chokecherry is a small deciduous tree or large shrub with clusters of cup-shaped, 5-lobed, fragrant, white flowers that bloom in mid-spring. Globular, pea-sized edible berries ripen to dark purple/black in August that attract birds and wildlife. Can be used for shelter belts, windbreaks, wildlife habitats, and for erosion control. Full sun to part shade.
