Creeping Mahonia (Mahonia repens)

Creeping Mahonia is a small groundcover evergreen shrub that has leathery and spiny green foliage. Bright fragrant yellow flowers appear in April and develop into blue-black edible berries in late summer that are sour but can be used in jellies. This shrub performs well in woodland gardens and grows well under oak canopies. Creeping Mahonia has tolerance against dry shade and deer.
