Prairifire Crabapple (Malus ‘Prairifire’) is outstanding small tree with multi-season interest. In spring, it bursts with slightly fragrant, reddish-purple flowers. The foliage presents an equally impressive show, emerging with a maroon tint, changing to dark green when mature, and showing orange-red fall color. The persistent, dark red-purple berries provide a winter food source for birds. This cultivar is known for it’s exceptional disease resistance.
