Endurance American Elm (Ulmus americana ‘Endurance’)

Endurance Elm is a selection of American Elm from southern Illinois. The parents of this elm appear to be highly resistant to Dutch Elm disease and to elm yellowing. Descendants are in the Ohio US Forest Service disease testing program and at Morton Arboretum. Likes to be grown in full sun and moist, well-drained soils but can tolerate dry sites, alkaline soil, clay soil and road salt.
